Artist description
A four piece, guitar driven band, travelling through sublime, twisted musical corridors. A musical voyage over waters sometimes heavy and churning, other times calm and smooth. In the end you’ll arrive safely back where you started, perhaps ready to plan your next musical odyssey. Live, the band’s heavy tunes are meaner and their moodier stuff more sinister and mysterious. |

Artist History
1999 – Self titled album is out, we are getting ready to support it, and all is great .……..Great Beyond that is ……….1998 – Band works on and completes first CD under Blue Summit Records. We decide to leave the CrackerHead chapter behind and start new. Thus the new name Great Beyond rises and opens the next chapter of our musical journey.1997 – We sign a contract with Blue Summit but turmoil strikes, Stephan (drummer) goes on a one man crusade to destroy the band. He succeeds but only temporarily, the band gets original drummer (Danny Belanger) back and continues writing the next album. It doesn’t last long, Danny couldn’t handle the work ethic and how advanced we became as song writers. So off to the auditions of a lot of bad drummers. Just when we are on the verge of calling it quits in walks Ted Dexter (current and permanent drummer) a perfect fit.1996 – The band shoots first video for the next single "Protect You" but gets shot down by Much Music because it supposedly portrayed violence towards females ……… what ever. We then play a Music Festival called Scene96 in St. Catharines Ont. Canada. In a small dark and dingy place called The Club, we are discovered by the Colorado based record company known as Blue Summit.1995 – CrackerHead enters 102.1 The Edge New Music Search and scores a coveted spot on the New Music Search CD. Danny (drummer) quits to continue his education. Band gets new drummer Stephen Przybysz. Trish Dwyer and Dave Eheler come onboard as management. The trip begins; we showcase at Canada’s Wonderland and turn heads. The single "Mistake" opens doors. Then comes the single "Nothing" that lands heavy rotation on 102.1 The Edge and sneaks its way into the top 30. The band has #2 spot on the indie selling charts at HMV music stores. We are invited to showcase in the store. The band gigs extensively with major acts such as; I Mother Earth, Our Lady Peace, The Ghandarvas, Head, Rainbow Butt Monkeys (now Finger Eleven) etc. We then audition and get a spot busking at Lollapalooza.1993 – Rick calls Ang to join Rockfish. Ang accepts and quickly learns the repertoire of covers and originals. After recording a 3-song demo the band changes the name to Crackerhead.1992 – Munsen breaks up, Rick and Ang go their own ways. Rick and Danny Belanger (drummer from Munsen) recruit Rolly and start a local cover/original band called Rockfish.1991 – Rick and Ang rock in an all original metal band called Munsen, recorded a 3 song demo but rarely played out. |

Press Reviews
Live Canadian Music Week Review"They have radio-ready songs and they pretty much have the look down. They also have a drummer with more cymbals than Neil Peart. I still can't believe how alt. rock these guys are. I betcha they could get a spot opening for collective soul.""Four piece alt-rock outfit, built to please."Ernest AgbuyaChart Magazine "Legacy's throaty, gritty voice gives the band its edge."Dana BornsteinThe Standard"Chunky guitars, grooving riffs and aggressive, solid drumming"Marc BucciExtreme |
