Artist description
I do not sound like Jewel. Really, I don't. Seriously. |
|
Music Style
Rock, blues, funk, folk, latin, soul, it's all in there somewhere. Well, with the exception of rap...not because I have anything against it, I just fully realize that I couldn't rap to save my life and I don't want to subject you all to that. If you guys have any idea what category I fall under, e-mail me and let me know! |
|
Musical Influences
Led Zepplin, Black Crowes, Tori Amos, Ani Difranco, DMB, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, George Clinton, Aretha Franklin, Carol King....and of course my parents, Chuck and Sue Long, who raised me to love music and are great musicians themselves. |

Artist History
I started off early in life as a folk singer, just me and my acoustic. And then I was a folk singer for a while, followed by a period of folk singing. Around that time I started thinking maybe I should settle it down a bit, what with all the diversity in my music...In November of 1999 I met someone who let me in on a stunning fact--more than one person can play music on a song! Who'd a thunk...anyway, since then I've written a whole lotta new songs, joined a band, left a band, joined another band (Silent Jake, come check us out sometime) and written more songs. Hopefully I'll be able to get my starving college student butt into the studio soon to FINALLY make a CD for you guys so you'll stop threatening me (hehe). |
