Artist description
The band consists of Melissa, her keyboard, a computer microphone and some cheap recording software. Plans are in the works for upscaling the group to include a digital mixer, sampling keyboard and a nice shiny new microphone. |

How often can you honestly, and properly use the word unique in the music industry? Try it out on Melissa Babcock's style. It's refreshingly distinct and original. |

Artist History
Melissa has been writing music since childhood. She has written several piano sonatas, a concerto, an oratorio, a few musicals, lots of incidential music *yawn*. In 1997 she had a waking dream in which she realized that she wanted to combine her classical skills with her inherited need to perform (both mother and father were performing pop/rock musicians by profession). Which leads us today to the unique blend known as the "Melissah" genre. Also see artist "Melissah" for some of her earliest works. |
