Artist History After 6 years playing in NY locals Shelf Life, Max woke up smelling of cheap gin and cigarettes on the streets of Los Angeles. He doesn't quite remember how he got there, but rumor has it that Derek St. Holmes (of Ted Nugent fame) and not-so legendary rapper Tim Dogg had something to do with the "kidnapping" Anyway, Max wandered into 4th Street Recording and approached producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, 24-7 Spyz, Fiona Apple) at knifepoint and said "record these songs damnit!" Scared, yet always looking for a good session, Wirt obliged and miked up the drum kit. Max then proceeded to vomit on the drums. Jim was unhappy about this. Many nights later, they had some songs though, and Jim was very pleased with how they came out, to the point where he didn't mind that Max's check bounced. He was thankful to have gotten a check to begin with.So, with songs in tow, Jim said "Max, if you just have a bath maybe we can go somewhere with this." So, the bath was taken and now they're trying to do the latter part of the deal. See what you think.
