Music Style Gospel

Artist History When you think of gospel music, you think of southern Gospel, the old quartet style with convention singings. Well as we all know, gospel music has changed over the years, just as all the other types of music has changed. The message will always remain the same in gospel music, for each song should always lift up the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Gatlan-Fisher is a gospel group that was started four years ago, though anyone who has been involved with this group has had a long time history of singing. Gatlan-Fisher has been a trio and quartet in it's time but after a vision that God gave Chuck Fisher, (the Owner of the group), it is now Chuck and Jennifer Fisher. The vision that God gave Chuck has brought to life that the ministry given to them can successfully be run with just the two of them. They have been married for 32 years, they have two children and two grandchildren. Years ago, they had a family group that sang, Chuck, Jennifer and their two kids, Chuckie and Heather. They home schooled their children to be able to travel full time. During this time, Jennifer was offered many opportunities to be a part of secular music, but always declined for her main goal was serving the Lord. Chuck also pastored a church for a while but felt his main service to God was evangelism and singing. Today most of the music that Chuck and Jennifer sing are songs that God has given to them. They both write music and have had some cuts by major gospel artists. The songs that you hear on this new project were God given and inspired by everyday life, which they write about frequently. The main goal for Gatlan-Fisher is soul winning through words and music and to lift the hearts of the saints. By the way; there is no one in this ministry named Gatlan. It has a meaning...... God Among The Land And Nation. The new project includes some of their friends that also have a music connection. Dave Compton is the station manager at WPET RADIO in Greensboro, N. C., Doyle Wood owns Daxwood Studios and Production Co., Pegi Allen and Delores Keuvalaar have a gospel group, A Sister Act, Mike Daniels is a great pianist and bassist, Mardell Mardeaux is a spectacular violinist. Teresa Tew is a long time friend.
