Artist History
Charlie Love started playing music in 1992, played lots of gigs and eventually started to get some people to listen. He recorded a demo and M8 magazine said it was good, so good in fact that they made it their demo of the Month. Next the he started handing out this great tape to anybody that would listen. Runrig's manager, Marlene Ross, liked it and arranged a spot on the bill for the him at the Scottish Fleadh in '93. Later that year he put out another tape (all this they paid for themselves) and this one sold really well (over 2000 copies in Scotland). He also played as tour support to Runrig,Texas, Big Country, Chumbawamba and The Kevin McDermott Orchestra to name a few.In 1994, Waterboy, Mike Scott joined the him on stage and they played a set of Waterboys tunes and Bob Dylan covers. He also played at Scotland's Tarlair festival to over 10,000 people and completed a residency at Edinburgh's Fringe Club. The Scotsman acclaimed the his music in their review of the show as "highly recommended, high energy stuff". This is the first new material he has produce in the last 5 years. |
