Artist History Cannibal Cripple first came to being in the summer of 2000, as an experiment by founder member and nucleus of the band, namely Nik Jizz. Nik already a guitar virtuoso at the tender age of 24, had a clear vision of what he intended to do with the burgeoning entity within him, which to all intents and purposes was the source of his incredible musical prowess. This "Entity", he often claimed to be the spirit of Elvis (usually when he was under the influence of either alcohol or his own methane emissions). He single handedly wrote both the lyrics and the music for the first (and only) tune the band ever recorded in their original incarnation. He then enlisted the aid of fellow guitar genius, the formidable Kris Deth. Together they set about recording their ground-breaking first effort... The seminal "Cannibal Demon". It has to be said though, Nik did virtually all the work. The band now set about organising gigs in their immediate area. Their ambitious plans were however severely hampered by their apparent inability to play live. Not only could Nik not be arsed to practice (He famously did 44 takes on the first solo in "Cannibal Demon"), but the band had neither a drummer or indeed, a bass player. These problems were further compounded by the fact that they still only had one song to play (Even if it was the best song ever written). The result of this, was that the tour was put on the back burner (and still is). Until now. Nik has returned from what he describes as "My Hellish Torment" with not only a whole new album, but also plans for a tour to promote it (with a new line-up) and a book detailing his life in and out of the band from it's conception to present day.
