Artist description
Corps of army worms arabesque in my intestinal hollows seeking nosimple solace or golden pay-dirt vein. They are murder twitching likea fetus; insect hunger in the famine lands; the flickering fluorescentfear tatooing their electric every two seconds onthe downtown night above bars. Downdevil sucks on the spoon anddropper dropped on an ocher-stained toilet floor. It rolls from underthe stall, the sound of fractured bone-on-bone, giving me away.Synthetic demons coalesce on my trail across city blocks:human-hunting succubus. I snake towards forty-second wishing to die --but I lack the breath. Listen slowly:I am Croesus upon the eve of battle; I am the worn needle of dreams.Destiny beetles up my bones to seize my lackey heart. Be warned; youwill not find your addict answers here. They will not come shootingthrough your skull like an epiphany or talkradio logic. Larval feardrives you from room to room searching, but consider... maybe youshouldn't be looking. |
