Musical Influences I alphabetized my CDs last night. Here are the first few artists in order: Beatles, Frank Black, Johnny Cash, The Cramps, Deep Purple - YIKES! I guess everything influences me.

TonyK is short for Tony Krasinski. I live in Erie, PA. - USA and am 38 years old. My main instrument is bass guitar but I also play drums, guitar and I sing a lot. I started playing bass in local bands at the ripe old age of 16. My first real band was a groovy little combo called 'Live Wire'. I remember playing covers by AC/DC, Beatles, and probably a lot of horrible 70's bands. Yikes! From there I joined forces with my older bro' Bill in a band called Griffin - more rock covers and some noteable originals like 'Do Me A Favor' and 'Fun In The Sun At Beach 1'(don't ask!). Then it was into the New Wave scene with The Visitors, The KGBeats, back to edgy rock with The Bedrocks, back to 70's rock with 12 Fluid Oz. Somewhere during The Bedrocks days I started playing drums with a band called The Weathermen. My last band and one of the coolest was The Shrugs where I played drums. We played half 60's covers and half originals that sounded as if they were 60's covers. All these were local Erie bands. I never really had the ambition to go out on the road and starve myself in the name of possible fame and fortune. What else? I've released or been a part of a few independant releases: The Bedrocks - Something Different, my rock opera, Adventures in Dreamland which was pretty cool and The Shrugs - Once Around The World. Adventures In Dreamland happened soon after I bought a 4-track cassette. I decided I could make better music by myself and was happier than I was playing in the dreadful local music scene. About three years ago I decided to retire from the local music scene, purchased a Roland VS-840 digital 8-track and set out to make real music. Some of the results can be heard here. Finally bought a PC this year and have set out to really get my music heard. Sorry about the lack of artwork or photos but I haven't gotten that far yet. Other cool equipment in my studio: A vintage 1968 Fender Precision Bass - I use it on all the tunes here. Just bought an AKG C3000B and an Art Tube MP. These additions really made a huge difference in the quality of my recordings. Check out 'Only One' which was the first tune I recorded with my new gear. Well, my kids are bugging me to get off the PC so I gotta go. I'll come back and get some more info about the songs, how I record and whatever else I can think of. Bye,TonyK
