Artist History
The Sunnyville phenomenon began in 1994 when three Lavington lads from Murray High School formed a band named The Hot Genitals, with a guitarist (Dick Brown), a bassist (Adrian Baker) and a singer (Billy Rad) they set out to conquer the globe with songs about anything from video shop clerks to friends whom they disliked. They’re discography includes the albums, Fanny Rash, Not Plugged In In Jindera, Snake Poo, Bobbly Stomp and Cop This. 1995 brought an alteration for THG, Billy Rad switching to the drums and a new singer (Shannon Wells). Also a name change, discarding they’re illustrious title for the more unintelligent calling card, Grillled Fish. Shortly after this period of unrest the quadrat disbanded due to unresolved differences in the band.(Sympathy)Then in early 1997 Limbno was concocted. The original line-up was Charles Greenfield on vox and bass, Adrian Baker on bass, Lance Davis on rhythm guitar, Dick Brown on lead guitar and Billy Rad on drums. For no apparent reason the line-up whittled away to only three members: The singer (or I’ll call him that for the sake of the story). The lead guitarist. And the drummer. After 20 months and a few unproductive gigs Limbno self destructed and ceased to exist. Instantly Sunnyville was evolved, Adrian and Justin meeting via their place of employment. And Baker being a long time friend with Rad. Sunnyville perform pop/punk rock music with a dash of ska. |
