Artist History
These are some songs I wrote back in 1993 for this band Grooveyard I started. It's not where I'm at now musically but I really thought these tunes should be on mp3. They are a bit more commercial (for me anyway). This cd was recorded on 8 track cassette and 16 track 1/2 inch tape. AAD. Ofcourse the recording is a bit primitive but I hope you enjoy it, I really think these are some groovey tunes! |

Press Reviews
North East Performer Magazine; L.A. Joe - A groove rocker with a social conscience, and an undercurrent of spirituality. How nice. For those of industry with pocket interests, this doesn't compromise commercial viability. Not in this case anyways. Musically I'd drop'em as equal parts Sly Stone (The Joy Of It) and Allan Holdsworth (He's a wowie zowie, fusion style, jazzy guitar player). I know it is a hell of a stretch and this incongruence does throw the project a smidgen out of focus, but who cares-competent A&R and production will fix that. Mighty funky that Ron Neuhauser. He's the guy that writes the stuff and plays guitar, deadly guitar. He's also grouped the "guest musicians" so I'm guessing it is not a band. Slick drumming (James Clarke) and dangerous bass Playing (Jon Clarke)--(hey-are those guys brothers?). Well I am in spirit... |
