Artist History
Orlando Colon is a 1st Generation Puerto Rican-American born and bred in East New York, Brooklyn. Fluent in both Spanish and English, this 23 year old talent has been writing, producing and performing for over 8 years. Since the fresh start of his young career, Orlando has immersed himself in the music industry and managed to win several honors. In 1996, he walked away the winner of the Motown Talent Search, at the world famous Apollo, busting out 4-part harmonies with the local singing group "Just Us 4". During his jauntwith Just Us 4, the Quartet literally sang their way into the Hot 97 morning show featuring Dr. Dreand Ed Lover. Their performance wowed these famous DJs and held the Hot 97 Morning Jingle spot for several weeks to follow. The group performed regularly throughout the New York area and even opened for Marc Anthony at S.O.B.’s and the legendary pop band, Kool & The Gang, hosted by WBLS Radio at Sweets Waters. After departing from Just Us 4, Orlando later moved on to pursue an exciting solo career. He has divided his musical endeavors among touring with the renowned C&C Music Factory, songwriting, and spending time in the studio producing and recording his own brand of urban sound with it's roots in Latin rhythms and Hip Hop. Every school girl's dream, Orlando’s unique vocal style and dazzling moves are the perfect blend of Puerto Rican sabor and East New York street soul. |
