Artist History Jennifer Minuto is a singer, songwriter, and pianist who has been cultivating her dream of becoming a recording artist for the last twenty five years since first playing the piano at age five. Jennifer was raised in East Greenwich RI before receiving her Bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island where she gained national media attention for founding a organization (P.O.W.E.R.) focused on social rights for women on college campuses. Her organization is still going strong today and other universities have modeled the group.Jennifer also received her Master's degree from Goddard College in Vermont where she produced her own movie while traveling across the United States interviewing several women artists and musicians about creating their work. She also composed an original score for her film Several regional viewings of her film, "On the Mother Road" have brought large audiences as well as some critical success and attention.   Jennifer has been a professional performer since the age of fifteen and has entertained audiences from new York to Los Angeles, Boston to Nashville, and, of course, her native Rhode Island where she currently performs in such venues as Jazzmasters, one of the Northeast's premier rooms for live music and the acclaimed Agora in the Westin Hotel.Jennifer is a recent (April 12th 2000) winner of the famous "Amateur Night Competition at the Apollo Theatre" in New York City. Jennifer has recently begun recording her first solo album of original material in New York City with Grammy nominated producer Richard Abbondante. This studio has also been the setting for other recording artists such as Paul McCartney, Deborah Harry and recently Bonnie Raitt.Jennifer has recently compiled a demo CD of 5 original inspired and heartfelt songs that bare the sound and spirit of her voice within.
