Artist History
NOTES ABOUT Giorgio Sollazzi "The composer Giorgio Sollazzi was born, lived and trained between Rome and Bologna, Florence and Aquila. His works deeply reflect the contemporanity, complexity and contradictions of our time. Being extremely sensitive to conquering multimedia, his art has undergone a clear cut and radical transformation over the years. Currently his worksą main objective is a strong expressiveness, which is however always far from any form of rhetoric. His works use a full-bodied, anti-conformist and often extreme language. His aesthetics of the evoked potentials upset and overwhelm the relationship between the author, interpreters, audience and tradition. They involve the imaginary collective sound in a delicate game of memories, dreams and sensations, whilst giving life to works destined to be lived at higher levels and dimensions". Press Reviews
Music, computer and emotions...
The album "Height Piece" musically refined, expressive, inspired,t is a perfect fusion to consider of (among) traditional virtuosity and full and sustained acoustic sound.
The quality of the execution is great, where voice, electronic noise and declamations mix themselves in an imaginary game to subsequently recompose in a memorable way.
An execution however, to lines evocative of a transfigured restlessness (among the reality and the virtual one) that the author with passion and intelligence (to say the truth the first term that I thought has been:" with innervated intelligence"), it reproduces to the endless one in every passage, interpreting the symptoms (of such restlessness) that strongly they appear on the surface from daily and personal horizons.
