The Guys formed up in 98', and are currently working on a new cd. Due for release in the late summer 2000, the band is already doing shows with folks like Deanna Carter, Andy Griggs, and BR-549. The guys have also done shows with The Beach Boys, Marshall Crenshaw, The Replacements, and Soul Asylum to name but a few.(we had a different name in the days prior to 98'. Press Reviews
"The Fat lady has sung, the cows have come home and they're all listening to Dutch Henry!---Mike MacDonald-Program Director, WKEZ Young Country 96.It's all here. The songs, the voices, the proper attitude. Don't miss out...remember the music executive that passed on The Beatles? Me either.---Bruce Parrott-Editor, AMERICAN COUNTRYIf you see them live or happen to have a copy of their disc in hand, make sure to check out the song "If Country ain't good enough". One listen, and you're hooked! It's an infectious pop-rock-country song that is itching to be played by savvy radio programmers. An instant hit.---John Gonzoles- Music Critic, THE GRAND RAPIDS PRESSLive it comes off with the restlessness of the Roadhouse and the tenderness of a front porch on a starry summer night. But it is as songwriters that Dutch Henry shine brightest; they realize that it's the song the listener lives inside for 3-4 minutes at a time, and the song that will keep them coming back. They're hook laden melodies are humorous, or sad or intimate, with verve and polish that endures because of the simple honesty that is inherent. the band knows that the transferring of emotion is the sole purpose of any good song. Without a doubt, Dutch Henry is something special, they move me in a way that keeps me coming back, over and over again.---Thom Jurek- Arts Editor, DETROIT METRO TIMES |
