Artist description
After Lolita blends the raw power of rock, the sensibility of pop, and the visceral stage presence of hardcore punk to create songs that are both intelligent and appealing. Avoiding the cliche of excess distortion and overplaying, the group relies on catchy vocal melodies, lightly overdriven but punchy guitar, and a rhythm section of bass and drums that propels the song with sparse, locked-in grooves. |

Artist History
Two friends in Warner Robins, Georgia felt the calling to return music to its former glory; and after meeting a drummer from Independence, California on the internet, the three of them retreated to San Antonio, Texas in March 2000 where they rehearsed in anonymity and sold their bodies to science for money. Armed with instruments and attitudes, they confined themselves to a 15' X 20' room where they ate, slept, and practiced. For six hours a day, six days a week, they toiled among the sweat and noise. Three months later, they emerged lean, driven, and dangerously ready to tour with an arsenal of energetic music written to be experienced live. As the heat of the Texas summer descended, After Lolita took to the stage. |
