Artist description
"The Masterpiece is a witty, raucous three-piece band whose sense of humor is so broad that the jokes themselves can be as difficult to define as in 'Spinal Tap,' where it's always 'a fine line between clever and stupid.'" - John Swenson, UPI Newswire. NYC's premier purveyors of the long dormant (until now!) rock opera tradition, The Masterpiece constantly wows audiences with their bold, theatrical presentations and undeniable rock power.

Artist History
After honing his skills with acts including Legend and various incarnations of The Masterpiece in cities like Cincinnati and Philadelphia, Tim Heidecker made the move to New York at the dawn of the new millennium (early 2000). Once in the Big Apple, he re-established contact with kindred spirits drummer Sonny D (an old Florida running buddy from Tampa's renowned Fool's Gold) and bassist Ken Tuckitt (a long time Masterpiece session man from Philadelphia by way of Canada). The trio has been entertaining audiences and sound men at venues like Arlene Grocery, Brownies and the Knitting Factory ever since with their bold performances, unprecedented rock operas and highly memorable songs like "Guns & Money" and "Pussy Lady." Press Reviews
"Heidecker is nothing short of a natural force in the New York music scene, inspiring less-inspired bands with his bold theatrical forays and perennial rock attrition." - Sonny JL Aronson, CMJ New Music Marathon |
