Artist History
Taine is probably the best tehno-death band in Romania.It's debut is dated February 1993,with Andy Ionescu as vocals, Stefan Aldea guitar, Adi Tabacaru drums and Andrei Nicolescubass guitar and took place in Petre Magdin's TV show IMN(Midnight meeting),on TVR1(National Television). Lots of concerts and festivals followed in various regions ofthe country including Bucharest, which brought many prizes as follows:-1994 Campulung- Muscel-"Posada"festival-third place- 1996 Bucharest - "Metal Fan"festival- Grand prize- 1996 Campulung-Muscel-"Posada"festival-special prize - 1997 Satu-Mare -"Samus Rock 97"-second prize 1997 Dej- "Rock Music 97"- Grand prize-1997 Buzau- " Top T "- first place-1997 Campulung-Muscel-"Posada97"festival- Grand prizeAfter this period of time they continued to play recitals only.In february '96 after replacing several bass players Bogdan Visan from "Cronos" joined the band and played with us ever since.The Demo "Destiny" came out in '93 and was recorded in a studio set-up in the rehearsal room; in '95 "The Light Of The Truth" came out under the same circumstances; finaly in December '96 "Cealalta Parte" ("The Other side") saw daylight. In '97 East & Art releaces a compilation named "Underground Romania Rock" featuring Taine's tune "Woman", as a result of a signed contract between Taine and the recording studio "ProMusic Records" represented by manager Ioan Brandusan they leave in november '98 for Cluj were they record their first oficial album "Cealalta Parte" ("The Other side").PRODUCED BY PROMUSIC REC.
