Artist History
We formed in October 1999, and started playing once a week at Hornet, Uppsala. We made a few songs quite quickly ('Could anyone be that guy?', 'More Equal', 'Searching Truth', 'They All Want More' and 'See You On The Way Down'). As we improved a lot the first month, we decided to play twice a week instead, and more songs followed (Love My Phone, Your Friend, Black Rose, Alien Song). We had no trouble with songwriting and playing. Our first problem was getting the lyrics out right. We both (Johan Aretakis and Johan Törnblom) want to sing our own lyrics, it would feel wrong to give our opinions expressed in our own words for someone else to sing, so we started working on that. The other problem was finding a guitarist, which we still want to do, because a lot of our songs would really sound better with two guitarists. But the people we know are either crappy guitarists or not interested in punk, so we are still looking. Mail me if you live in (or near) Uppsala and want to start playing with us. Anyway, we wrote a few songs before the new millenium started (Dreaming is Over, No One Left, See The End) and had a winter break at Hornet. We wrote some songs and right after January 2000, we had finished Bobby and Nothing Perfect. We decided that we would record the Demo in a month, and started picking out the best songs. After the final cut, the 5 songs were: They all want more, Nothing Perfect, Back Late, Anyway and All I Need. The demo sounded pretty well, we were kinda surprised after listening to many crap-bands at mp3.com. |
