Streetworthy are an emerging British band performing acoustic roots songs and tunes with influences from cajun, to upbeat English/celtic country dance music. The band is fronted by Phil and Sorrel Harty on fiddle/guitar, piano/accordion respectively with additional musicians as required Their music ranges from self penned songs to versions of songs by Richard Thompson, Mark Knofler, Robbie Robertson, Doug Kershaw, Clifton Chenier, Lucinda Williams, Bill Staines, Ella Fitzgerald. |

Artist History
Streetworthy is essentially Phil and Sorrel Harty who joined forces whilst studying for BA (hons) Music at Bretton Hall College, Leeds University, 1994-1998. They combine harmony vocals with various permutations of fiddles, piano, mandolin, accordion, guitar and Irish whistle. Their backgrounds in various musical concerns i.e. English, Irish and Scottish traditional and european folk music plus a few years playing Cajun, country and Irish music professionally in New Orleans, provides the ingredients for the Streetworthy sound. |
