Artist History
After hitting #22 on the Pop/Rock chart at Mp3.com in December 2000, Natasha has received fan-mail from as far away as the Czech republic. Natasha is currently recording her debut album, which will be completed in late spring. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her talents including the 1998 Lionel Richie Scholarship in Songwriting. Thanks to the scholarship, Natasha spent a year at UCLA under the tutelage of music industry veterans Preston Glass, Micheal Masser, Kool and the Gang among others. In spring of 2000 Natasha was selected winner of the French songwriting contest at Winnipeg radio station CKSB. She has also received three demo grants from Manitoba Film and Sound Corporation –a provincial agency that promotes artist development in Manitoba. In 1999 Natasha produced the ‘River City Christmas’ album, bringing together 15 different local artists in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Winnipeg. From fundraising to songwriting, Natasha helped make the album a reality and a success. |
