Press Reviews
Plajia is a great band that goes right for the heart in a peculiar way. Unlike most bands who rely only on sorrow and conflict to touch the listener, Plajia takes you down but leaves with a glimmer of hope. A great balance of sadness and optimism with the charm of a naive child who believes that behind the layer there is good and love in everyone. Don't get me wrong, i dont think that the lirycs or music are by any means childish. Plajia is basically a man and his guitar with just the right amount of atmospheric textures and samples to give Patrick Pleau his very unique sound. The dense reverbs and moody layers almost give you the impression that he lets you into this thightly confined world he has made for himdself to deal with his immense sadness. You only get a peak though and the mistery makes you crave the next chapter in this musical diary even more. yannick lagacépurple sky records |
