    Artist description
MrP defines Urban-Techno-Rock. Rhythmic mayhem fueled by aggressive live drums, synthetic loops, and deep pounding bass. Mixed with walls of undulating synthesis, driving guitars, and a twin vocal attack that runs the gamut of rap, hard-core, and pop harmony. The peripheral adhesions that delicately bind our society's foundations are about to be shaken. Shaken loose, possibly, beyond comprehension and repair. The catalyst for this damage has been a tightly guarded, secured and well-kept secret. Though, the secret is to be no longer. MrP is here, and thank the gods of rock music for them! This particular incarnation of MrP is heavily rooted within the realms of electronic music. However, their use of gritty guitar riffs, staunch acoustic drumming and extensive vocal melodies meticulously lifts the sound up from the bitterly cold confines of digitalia. Did I mention the melodies? Oh my, the melodies! Songs like “Aware,” "Marquees Glow,” “Rebirth of the Madman” and ”KYTV” will unabashedly permeate your consciousness and have your toes tapping and throats humming for many days to come. MrP, being none too shy, also allows the listener to see, somewhat, inside the very souls and personalities that make up this monumental trio. With such songs as “Memoirs of Betty,” “Black Button Eyes” and “Open Your Mind,” it's easy to see (and hear) that MrP is more than your average electro-industrial act. MrP is a project with a mind, albeit a mind of its own, but a mind nonetheless. There’s more than just puff here. There's depth musically, lyrically and thematically. You have been awakened and you have been forewarned. The world is shifting and popular entertainment is changing. MrP, and their debut Elemental Media release, “Pilot,” helps signify these changes. MrP are spearheading the very future of your music! The new CD, "Pilot", and MrP Fan Club information is available at elementalmedia.net!

Arnold R. Benton - Voice, Guitar, Visual Chaos. Musician, Artist, and Independent Filmmaker, Arnold R. Benton bridges the gap between sight and sound within the MrP camp. A classically trained visual artist and self-taught musician, Benton's unique visions are an all out assault of the senses. Big Homo Audio - Synthesis, Programming, Voice. When Big Homo Audio was 17 he realized that being a rock star was a great way to pick up men. It was at that moment that he committed himself to a life of making music for sex. That evening he bought a $75 Casio at Service Merchandise, ACID and a PEE CEE. Big Homo Audio spent the next 6 months learning all the major works of Ricky Martin and Brittany Spears. Then he joined MrP. Nathan Striedinger = drums, period!

"Finally (!) I was lucky enough to score a sampler CD from the forth-coming MrP release. For those of you who do not know, MrP were formerly known as Mr. Presto and have been considered a bit of a legend in these parts (Indiana). Thankfully, after a long hiatus, the project still retains its core members, Big Homo Audio (synths/vocals and such), Arnold R. Benton (vocals/guitar/programming) and Nathan Striedinger (drums), but unfortunately they've lost their female vocalist Renee VanDuyn. (No problem though, Arnold R. Benton and Big Homo Audio have stepped in to fill the awesome vocal gap that VanDuyn left them with.) The CD contains 2 tracks, "Rebirth of the Madman" and "KYTV". Each tune contains a down-n-dirty guitar riff, steadfast acoustic drumming and an absolute avalanche of synthetic noises and bass lines. Club Kids are gonna grind their 6 inch platforms down to flats, while seasoned musicians scratch their heads in sheer amazement. Moreover, producer/engineer CCPS has, once again, out-done himself. The production on this independent release is, without question, the finest I've ever heard. Using these tracks as indications of what is to come, I've no doubt that MrP will be leaving the close-minded, oppressive climates of Indiana in favor of true success as a recording/touring project. Simply put, MrP lies comfortably between radio friendly and purely brilliant. This one'll melt your speakers!"- Christopher Wayne Curry, M.K. Ultra Magazine, Chicago
