Artist History MiCa has been making music since -96 but for "real" since 98. He´s been (and still are) in the tracking-scene, releasing songs since 2 years back. It all began with his first computer, an AMIGA500. He came in contact with a great tracking-software called ProTracker quite early, but he never got the patience to learn how to make music with it. But soon, after a couple of months of practise, he got the basic technique to make simple beats and melodies come out of the speakers. The tracking-period with his AMIGA wasn´t very succesful, mostly because MiCa felt quite limited with the 4 channels that the program offered. The limitations turned to posibilities when he bought his first PC. He now got the marvelous program Fasttracker2.06 from a friend and stared to make music again! This was the beginning of a long relationship with the tracking. The program offered 32 channels and MiCa advanced fast in the tracking technique and the songs got a better sound. The music MiCa created back then was more melodic, piano-based songs similar to Vangelis, J M Jarre and R. Miles. Through internet he came in contact with other tracker-artists music. He study the techniques they had used and MiCa advanced a lot during this time. A favourite artist to study was Andreas Wiklund, back then a member of the tracking-group TSEC and now a member of a realy great group here at mp3.com, Lagoona. Andreas music was very melodic dream-music and the melodies was (and still are!) beautiful. MiCa was impressed by the arrangements and the sound-quality and stared to develop a new personal sound after that, based on the inspiration the trackerartist gave him. Through the last years MiCa has turned more and more to trance and club music. He now creates a kind of melodic trance that listeners often call, "typical MiCa-sound music".
