    Artist History
    Marty Petersen began his musical career at the High School of Music and Art (an adjunct of the Juliard School of Music) in New York City, and composed his first song, "Oh, Lord, I Will Love Thee", at age 14. As a teen-ager he was a member of the Putnam County Choral Society, and later became President of The Messiah Choral. He wrote the theme song, "What is One Man's Song" for the Stewart W. Smith Singers which was performed in Lincoln Center in New York. A concert of his Christmas music was performed by the State Choir and Orchestra in Macedonia, and his works are being translated into Spanish for South American audiences. He has written numerous road shows for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and has been a recipient of numerous awards given by The Church in its annual music contests.
