Artist History LaurenJane has had a somewhat of a classically trained backround in violin, piano, and voice. When she was 17 she started composing songs on the piano and singing. After a few performances at her high school, she began playing out locally around town. She was in a band for a while called the Change Parade, in which she played piano and sang. Although the band was a great experience she still preferred to play her music solo. After graduating from high school, she left Memphis to go to a music conservatory in a small town in Virginia. She stayed there for about 2 years, and just recently moved back home to go to the University of Memphis. She felt that Memphis was a better place to perform her music.
