'DISTANZA'. I was very much surprised by the start off production from Martin Apostolov. Under the name of latitude42 he created a very special groovy drum and bass track, which is usable for a wide area of DJ's. The 7 minute long track is a build up track, which does not explode by itself. It's an instrument for a DJ to create his (of her) set the way he wants. Keep your eye on this guy, cause I expect a lot of progress in his work. 31 july 2000 - Patrick Willer, Dutch DJ/Producer. 'NEVER BEEN TO IBIZA'. Right off the bat, I want to say to anyone reading this, go give it a listen or three. It'll be well worth you time. Alright, just gave it a first listen and I've just cued it up again for a second as I write this.First impression: I like it and it's a good effort. You're a step ahead of where I am in studio production right now. There are some places that could use some touching up, but overall, I think the track has some real potential.All in all, I think this is a really fine effort. Worthy of 3.5 stars of 5. Give it a little bit of a work over here and there, and as far as bedroom production quality, you could easily get 4 or 4.5 out of five. If you finish and polish this track as I'm sure you capable of doing (given the general quality of the production) I'd be happy to purchase the cd for 5$ from MP3.com and I'd even buy the 12" record if you produced some.'Never Been To Ibiza' is the kind of track that ends up in Sasha's box, but could've been right at home next to Sphere's 'Barrier' and EBE's 'Here and Now' on Pappa's NuBreed. 12.
