Artist description
We are really a band without a category, and don't know what that says about our music. We have roots in alternative and folk, music as well as a little surf, and other misc. NOTE: 3 out of the 4 members of the band are left-handed (as far as writing goes anyway...) We gotta do something to get those damn righties out of power! |

Artist History
our story begins...Once upon a time, there was a boy named Zach Cortinas. He was in a very bad garage band name Spit Genius. His little sister thought it would be very cool to play music just like her older brother, so when she got older she picked up the guitar and learned how to play on her own, just like her brother did, she wrote many songs in the style of Joni Mitchell and Carol King and so on. She was attending a college trip to Europe when she met a fellow student from South Africa named Graham Impey, he heard her play and told her that he played bass, and his roomate, Jace Alexander played the drums. So you can probably see where it went from there. When they all got back into the States, they decided to form a band, Camille asked her older brother if he would like to join and play. He did. Since then Gemini Sky has written several songs and recorded a CD that can be heard at www.mp3.com/geminisky . Everyone in the band comes from a different musical background, so the sound is difficult to catogorize, but might be best expressed as 'folk rock with a slight attitude' but then again it could be something more. |
