Artist History
Springrise! was recorded in 1997, and converted to digital a few years later. I have always improvised music on the piano and keyboard, and never really took it seriously. After a few requests for a tape of my playing, I decided to record a session at home, just to hear what it sounded like. When I play this music, I go into a meditative state, and play what my fingers want me to play. It is pure creativity. The result is a beautiful, shifting, shimmering energy in my music, that is very good for falling asleep to! One local massage therapist is using the CD in her practice to help relax her clients. Springrise! is music for meditation, relaxation, and soft times with loved ones. (It's also really good for listening to when you want to write poetry.) |

Press Reviews
"Besides being really awesome songs, they sound like they'd be really awesome in some computer games too. Honestly though, of course since almost all I ever do is play video games, that's why it comes to mind. Like when I hear these songs I automatically picture like some kind of scene in a game with the music playing. Like I'm listening to Icicle now and I just picture like the Hero or something in a icy wintry cave, a very beautiful one too, almost like an Atlantis of Ice. I love this music, you rock! :D Ranks right up there with the Erana's Peace theme of QFG 1. I can see why it's music, words cannot begin to desribe this music or the feelings it brings up in you when you listen to it." ~ chaz_qg5 ***** "The concert came alive when Chagall sang "Ophelia" a Goth song about death. Accompanying herself with funeral sounding arpeggios on keyboard, her opening song seemed apt for this weekend before Halloween. She followed Ophelia with two oppressive love songs. Chagall seemed very comfortable on stage. You'd think she had been born with a mike in her mouth. She even looked good from the back of the room. She ended her set with a bright, complicated, impressive instrumental piece on the piano, North Mountain Pass. Chagall sang and played well. She looked like a Modigliani painting with her dark hair and lines curled over the microphone. She's a talent. She's quick witted and she can dance. She'd have a bright future if only she'd learn how to blow her nose properly." ~ flattop |
