Press Reviews
"After having issued an EP and a split-CD with Gigantor these Swedish gentlemen now issue their first full length CD. And just like the last time they progressed on this one. Twelve cool punksongs make this album worth its money. The band occasionally reminds me of Dog Eat Dog. And I don't mean musically. Just like their American colleagues Baseball Annie is formed around ex-members of bands like No Fun At All and Millencolin. At least that's what I thought. But what do you know. After an interview with guitarist Gus, it appears that none of the band members has ever been part of any of the bands mentioned above. That story was simply an idea of Lost & Found to push the sales a little. Pretty cool of these guys to admit this though. Just keep an eye on this band." - http://www.dma.be/p/mindview/uk/new/cd/baseball.htm ================================================== ================================================== "Short and to the point. Great song! Saturday is truly an example of great songwriting. Baseball Annie has combined a driving verse and strong chorus together perfectly. As well as a transitional bridge all in under 3 minutes! All of this without sounding like your cliché power-pop/punk band. They slightly remind me of an MIA band called The Uninvited. Baseball Annie has an unpolished sound, but they have captured this in a well-produced manner. My hat is off to them because it takes a lot for music in this genre to really get my attention." - http://www.madmonkeymusic.com |
