    Artist History
Started in the summer of 1997. Plays at local clubs in Kyoto and Osaka. Released a two-song demo CD in January 2000. In July 2000, our tune "No Way Out" was No.1 at the contest of mp3 by the Tokyo-based TV programme 'Tokyo Hot Indies', and "Easy" was also No.1 in the following month. The mp3 files of these two songs were included in CD-ROMs attached to a monthly PC magazine 'Nikkei Net Navi', the circulation of which is about 250,000 all through Japan. In April 2001, we were featured in the TV programme 'the 30 second pitch' broadcasted by MP3tv, which is a part of the UK-based Internet and satellite TV station, NOW. We made our first music video clips through this great opportunity. We won in the keen competition programme. In June again, we were featured in the 'Battle of the Bands' Pitch show from the same TV station. We contributed the two songs to an omnibus CD 'Tokyo Hot Indies Super Recording Vol. 3' released also in April 2001. In the following year, Kentaro replaced Yachiho. In 2003, Sono joined the band as the vocalist and Nov replaced Kentaro, completing the line-up of Veronica's Violet as a quartet.

    Press Reviews
"If Veronica's Violet didn't already exist, someone with a keen sense of the absurd and a penchant for feisty riot-grrrl zeal would surely have to invent them." "Adopting a fresh-faced, resolutely resilient approach, this trio from Kyoto, Japan, turn the Japanese cutesy pop stereotype on its head by rocking like the deranged mutant offspring of Joy Division, Blondie, the Go-Gos and L7." - MP3tv Reviewer Darren Lee
