Artist History
Comprised of two brothers the Southern California-based rock band, Triangle, epitomizes the "D-I-Y" approach to music. Brothers Count and Baron released an independent EP, "SHINE," the EP sold more than 10,000 units withoutthe benefit of distribution (it was marketed through an 800 number) or major promotion. The EP also topped more than 350 college radio play lists and trade charts nationwide. Triangle subsequently completed their debut LP, RAW FEED, The new album reinvents the band's distinct sound of driving, powerful, melodic rock highlighted by insightful lyrics. It's the sound that England's influential Metal Force magazine described as a "Saigon Kick/Cult style altogether weirder and far more hip...(the band) reeks of class and has the musicianship to the fore." Ranging from the hard-hitting exploration of the decline of the American dream in "Chain the American," to "Shine," and ode to lost hope and buried ideals, to "Black Hill," a blasting commentary on the end of innocence, "RAW FEED" also mines more acoustically based territory with the powerful yet delicate "Destination," "Melanie" and "Cinema of Love." These are love songs with an edge: graceful but not sappy. And the band continues their unique marketing on RAW FEED as well, establishing a site on the Internet so they can talk directly to their fans. Inspired by a wide range of different influences, from Oasis and Van Halen to U2 and Chuck Berry.Currently, Count and Baron (their real names) are seeking supportfor the evolution of RAW FEED in the form of distribution or better yet a record deal and incidentally the boys (TRIANGLE) have a new album finished (21 tracks in the can) their best work to date, waiting for the right person(s) to come on the scene to truly complete the TRIANGLE. |
