Artist History
Formed by singer-lyricist-guitarist-mandolinist Harrison Rumsey in the spring of 1996, it took awhile (as it always does) to get the right brew together. Guitarist Jerrod Prevost brings his classically and rock trained fingers to the electric and acoustic fretboards to spice up the mix. Dale Waite pounds the skins in an intricate and tenderizing yet solid maxing of crashing. Experienced musician Warren Bunn adds the hopping bottom switcher to somehow make it firm. This whole package seals at the front with Rumsey's huge vocals and rhythm/lead optioning. |

Press Reviews
"Patchwork Down, who blasted an electric mix of acoustic pop, funk rock grooves and hardcore insanity... was Ithaca's best hard rock band in 1999."- Stu Fox, The Ithaca Times, January 6, 2000"...Patchwork Down is different from the rest... prepare yourself for an aggression session; a tasty musical gumbo of flavors..., fasten your seatbelts and keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times."- Dale Kemp, Music Outlook Magazine, June 2000"That's Patchwork Down, appearing near you! They're happening, they're the bomb, they're knocking at your back door - launch them soon!"- Bertinho Patterns, The Ithaca Times, October 1998 |
