Artist History
The Man Made Brain is an electronic rock band whose members reside in Atlanta, GA, Mobile, AL & Pensacola, FL.. It consists of members Jonny Stratosphere, Devin Istre, Michael Clark & Nathan Huggins.
It was created in the year 2000 by Jonny (who had spent years heading the electro-surf/spy band Jonny And The Shamen, and also touring as lead guitarist in Man or Astroman?:Clone Project Alpha) and Devin (who had spent years touring in noise band xbxrx of kill rock stars/5rc). They quickly recruited drummer Michael (also of xbxrx) and synth/sampler guy Grave Danger (of the aforementioned Jonny and the Shamen). By the end of 2000 they were touring with Captured! by Robots and playing various sporadic shows around the southeast. They were quickly picked up by a new label from Vancouver, BC - Altaira Records - and released a cd/ep & 7" on the label in April of 2001. In August of 2001 they let Grave Danger go because of reasons we cannot speak of publicly, and recruited Nathan Huggins (formerly of the seminal rock band The Jobbers) to take his place. |
