Artist History
Maleficium was formed during the period of October 1992 till April 1993 by former Threnody drummer Marc van Bel.After the completion of the formation we head for the rehearsal studio and produce our songs. We amalgamate varied styles in to our own music. No boundaries or limitations just music we believed in. The music came out as Death/Doom metal with some symphonic influences |

Press Reviews
This debut cd is in many ways definitely worth listening to. Their music they self called 'spherical dark metal' is a total package of spheres and ambiances, that is professionally produced by Patrick Harreman (Moon of Sorrow). The bone marrow grunt of Martijn van Rhee is whole attraction on it's own. This album contains especially a few guitar solo's that stand out by their beautiful melody. Maleficium has in the person of Angelique Overbeek a woman who sings with a strong voice above the musical 'violence'. This debut cd forms in many ways an outstanding starting-point.
