Artist History
The latest explorations by Israel Curtis are digital-bred voyages into a blend of vintage synths and sampling, killer grooves, and 80's style harmonies. World rhythms, classic electronic pop, and modern dance tracks have influenced the latest album to be self-produced by this digital wizard.Israel has been composing and producing for over 10 years, starting with the first sequencer he got his hands on, but in recent years, his songs have evolved from the limited instrumental/ambient tracks to full-sized vocal/dance/pop productions. The single "Let Me Fall", found only on this album, placed in the top three entries for the original recording competition at the Audio Engineering Society (AES) convention in New York (1999)."Psychosomatic" also features collaborations with the talented vocals of April Meservy and the acapella group Inside Out. April, herself an accomplished singer/songwriter, has been known for her acoustic rock style, but on "Take All My Time" (and only here), you can hear her breaking new ground into the pop/electronic genre. Inside Out, whose acapella stylings have resulted in multiple CD releases and continuous live performances, contributed their harmonies in the dance remix of "Cruel Kindness (luna mix)". |
