Gazer----
Gazer is Mikal Moore (vocals), Casey Caldwell (lead guitar), Justin Hodges (bass), and brothers Zack (guitar) and Micah Boswell (drums). An alternative rock band based in Batesville, Arkansas (pop. 9,000)
Returning home to Arkansas in 1996, after a stint on EMI/Chrysalis with his pioneering rap/rock band, Mutha's Day Out, Mikal Moore hooked up with childhood friend, guitarist Casey Caldwell. Together they created a style of music at the opposite spectrum to Moore's previous band. Writing and experimenting with various sounds and influences from both their backgrounds, Gazer began to encompassed the lush musical intensitity of such bands as Radiohead and strong guitar driven rock bands as BRMC.
Despite a local scene dominated by hard rock, throughout 2001 Gazer worked on building it's fan base in Arkansas. Things really started coming together when a lineup change brought brothers Zack and Micah Boswell into the band with their childhood friend, Justin Hodges on bass. With the band in place, Gazer recorded new songs at the beginning of 2002 and went out touring to support their music. Gazer has spread it's base from Arkansas into Tennessee, Texas and Missouri.

Press Reviews
Gazer from Batesville were up first. They were all dressed up in their suits and were eager to hit the stage. Their first song reminded me of a band that plays music that I extremely hate, The Strokes. But I was thankfully proven wrong when they continued on with their set. They all sounded really in sync with each other. Their guitarist were both really good to watch using various pedals to enhance their sound; not just distortion pedals. I really liked their vocalists voice, who sang most of the time, and added an occasional scream or two.------
