Artist History
Dana Cerick hails from Nashville, TN via her hometown of Washington, DC where she made a name for herself as guitar player for hire for several local luminaries, then stepping up to perform her own unique brand of brainy rock & roll as a solo act and with her ever-evolving band, the Conveyors of Pain. With Cerick's bold voice as the focus, her songs go down into the depths of alienation and loss, soar above the norm and pack plenty of ear-catching melody and guitar-driven feistiness. Versatile enough to grab an audience with just an acoustic guitar,Cerick has been somewhat of a troubador, trying her hand at living and performing in several differentplaces before settling in Music City, USA. The full-length debut, Dana Cerick & the Conveyors of Pain "My Heart You Break It You Buy It" is slated for release in June, 2000 on SamRecords, also home to some of the nation's best-kept secrets from the Washington, D.C. area. |
