Press Reviews Brain is combination of soothing ambience and downright abrasiveness. it lulls you into a calm state with a few minutes of peaceful droning only to shreik you awake with jarring hi freq or jarring bursts of noise. And it's definitely recommended to those of you who find this description appealing.The album is a wonderful mixture of noise, experimental electronics, drones, ambience, etc... basically, it's all over the map. However, there is a definite cohesion to the album - it doesn't feel thrown together, but instead seems planned out. The harsh tracks seemed perfectly timed so that just when you're starting to feel safe the volume jumps up to match the grating noise. Then, like a thunderclap, the track is over and everything is calm again. - Popcontrol
