Artist History
Allister formed in the suburbs of Chicago in 1998 and promptly recorded a demo in a local studio for under $100. Not expecting a response, they mailed their demo out to a few of their favorite labels and were shocked when they caught the attention of LA based Drive-Thru Records. Using the demo recordings, Drive-Thru released a four song 7" titled You Can?t Do That On Vinyl which showcased the bands fun punk rock style. In December 1998 the band snuk into the studio with some friends and recorded their debut full-length during the night while the owners were away. What resulted was Dead Ends And Girlfriends, an energetic pop-punk release with instantly catchy harmonies and revolving lead vocals. The CD features 17 songs about girls, including their punk rock remake of The Backstreet Boys? I Want It That Way.In between college semesters, the band has played with New Found Glory, Fenix Tx, Rx Bandits, Midtown, Bloodhound Gang, Less Than Jake, The Hippos and The Ataris. Now that they?ve finally graduated, the band is embarking on a life-long tour. |
