Artist History
Vougeot began musical training on the violin at age ten. While attending the University of Minnesota-Honors Division to obtain a Bachelor's degree in philosophy, she continued her studies with Dr. Young-Nam Kim and performed with the acclaimed University Symphony Orchestra, as conducted by Murry Sidlin. Immediately upon graduating with summa cum laude honors, while performing in fine restaurants and clubs throughout the upper Midwest, Vougeot began writing, arranging, and recording her album debut, "Streets," released in Fall of '99. Most recently, Vougeot has been writing, producing, and recording new works with producer Matt "The Doctor" Fink, longtime keyboardist with Prince and the Revolution and the New Power Generation. |

Press Reviews
"`Streets' brims with the sort of dark energy you'd hear on a late period Tom Waits disc -- stories from a desolate after-hours world populated by the dangerous and the lonely... the voice telling the stories is soft, clear, and at times operatic."---Mark Brauwer, Stillwater Gazette, September 3, 1999 |
