Artist History it all started in december of 1996 when vocalist kyle avery and guitarist matt cook decided to throw something togethter for a show at their high school. they enlisted bassist trevor henderson, rhythm guitarist mark britton and drummer sandy hunter, and started jamming in kyle's parents' basement. the first song they learned was pearl jam's 'immortality' which proved to be a little more difficult than anyone involved had anticipated, but they got it down the night before the show. at this point, the band still needed a name, and trevor's Burton snowboard hat provided the necessary inspiration. Burton's 'B' logo looks somewhat like the number '13'. and the rest is history..
