Artist History
The Time Beings have been pushing their pop/rock combo in the Chicagoland area since 1993. Most recently, the band has spent the first few months of Y2K jamming with a keyboardist who goes by the name of Dave Bills. Dave was most recently the lead singer with Zoot, who made a few waves locally with appearances on Rock 103.5 and shows all over chicagoland. Dave is now concentrating on his wurlitzer, electric piano and other vintage keyboards to add a significant new dimension to Time Beings' sound. To date the boys have done three shows with the new lineup, which got enthusiastic reviews. Look for more club dates soon as the Time Beings are presently putting all their energies into finding a new record label. Stay tuned... |

Press Reviews
"Bristling power pop... soaked in a vague psychedelia, the AM-radio sort that pervaded the late "60's hits..."Eric Puls, Chicago Sun Times"The Time Beings are one of the most original local bands I've heard in ages...The Time Beings crackle with freshness and set themselves apart from a million other bar bands by miles."-Jay Hedblade, Illinois Entertainer"New CD from this bar pop band that reminds me of the Critics and that Illinois PopSound so many of us dig. Produced by Matt Allsion, the CD makes stops all over the Illinois map....sounds of many Parasol styled pop bands, Cheap Trick, Elvis Brothers, The Critics, The Idea all sneak up. There is a bit more crunch to this band (therefore my tag of "bar pop") than the listed which gives it a unique grittiness and edge lacking in many other bands, but is still sweet, rocking pop/rock affair that is recommended for all fans of Illinois Pop, forsure! -Not Lame Magazine |
