Artist History
The thought of space travel has been of interest to millions of people over the years, and the imagination of floating through space and time with only your thoughts is what most people do when daydreaming. This is what bests describes the thought process of creating the Spacewalkers music. Creating and combining the sounds of Trance, House, Dance, Drum and Bass, Electronica, basically creating music that you can listen to while traveling endlessly in space, and dancing of course when the music moves you.
With this in mind, R. James decided to get out the songs that have been moving him December of 1998. The philosophy is all-inclusive and in no way traditional in structure. It is music made to be non traditional, but with a tint of traditional says R. James. Songs don't have to be 8 minutes to be a good track. We get down and dirty and get out.
Spacewalkers has been played at various raves in the San Francisco,
San Diego, Oakland, San Jose, Fresno and Chico. Various DJ’s including David Bu Hau of THCIV DJ Alreia, and the staff of Work 13 have been known to spin the tracks. The song Space Mix is featured in the Skate VHS/DVD Whack produced by Orange Peal Records and Gotya productions, distributed internationally through the largest distributor of extreme sports videos; Video Action Sports.
Spacewalkers is not only non-traditional, but non-influential as well. We listen to all kinds of groups, different styles, we’re not about sounding like someone else. Say R James. If we sound completely different at times, that’s what we wanted, we don’t let another group or song out there effect what we do, our material is just another way to hear a song.
In October 2000 E.J. was recruited to make this a two-person space crew. Both being producers with several years of experience in the entertainment field not only in the music, but also behind the scenes promoting music. This made for a great well-rounded team.
Iconoclast is the debut release, out on Spacewalkers.com Entertainment, a subsidiary of Orange Peal Records. The split CD features industrial trance artist Cynyc. The CD can be found on http://www.amazon.com and http://www.theorangespot .com

Spacewalkers / Cynyc
Iconoclast (Split CD)
Spacewalkers.com Entertainment/Orange Peal
Two different artists, two different styles. One common city, one great CD. Representing Fremont, up and coming trance producers Spacewalkers have teamed up with artist Cynyc for an eclectic look into electronic dance music. This is a split CD, kind of like when MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice put one out in the early 90s, but this album is sooooo much better. The Spacewalkers half is a good mix of melodic pumpin trance and hard house. No cheese, just straight creativity and good production all the way through. Underground worthy as well as radio friendly. The Cynyc side dips into a variety of genres: techno, drum and bass, trip-hop and industrial, all with a dark, experimental edge. If you re looking to support local artists without wasting your money, pick this one up, for both these artists are well worth your $$$.
