    Artist description
From clubs and colleges, to amphitheaters and amusement parks, LUZER has performed for hundreds of thousands of fans since it formed just over two years ago. Supporting such acts as Dashboard Confessional, two U.S. national tours with The Mahoney Brothers, and headlining their own concerts up and down the American east coast, LUZER has been on a journey to bring their unique brand of power pop rock n' roll to the masses. In the words of LUZER's singer/songwriter Tim Mahoney, "(They) are just four guys who love to rock n' roll." But LUZER's not just that. They are four talented young musicians who are standing tall on the horizon of the new millennium’s Rock N’ Roll Renaissance.

    Artist History
Formed in late 1999, LUZER is one of New Jersey's most promising up and coming modern rock bands. With influences ranging from the harder edged sounds of the Foo Fighters and Stone Temple Pilots to the melodic power pop sounds of Weezer and Ben Folds. Singer/guitarist/songwriter Tim Mahoney and drummer Dan Seeth (both formally of Life In General) brought in lead guitarist R. Dan Salyerds (better known as Sally) to record their first independent LP, humorously entitled Greatest Hits in the summer of 2000. Bassist Chris Volk joined soon after, and the band began performing locally. After opening up for the national touring acts Jukebox Heroes & Long Live The Beatles at colleges and concert halls throughout the east coast on their Spring 2001 tour, the band returned to the studio to record their follow up album, The Fake Ass Rock Star EP. After a four month hiatus, the band re-entered the studio to record bonus tracks for the Japanese release of Fake Ass Rock Star. The Fake Ass Rock Star: Episode II, featuring remixed versions of songs from the original EP and bonus tracks from the Japanese edition of Fake Ass Rock Star was released on July 30, 2002. LUZER set out on the road in July in support of this album, and is currently on tour across America.

    Press Reviews
"On the second release from the Jersey based power-pop quartet, they somehow managed to get more playful and humorous while still maturing as a band and as songwriters. From the Weezer influenced title track to the catchy radio-friendly "Wasted", this EP will make a nice addition to anyone's rock n' roll cd catalogue."
