Artist History Camphor is a collaboration between producer/composer Max Lichtenstein and songwriter J. Russo. The former has worked on recording & remix projects by artists such as MERCURY REV, REGULAR FRIES and THE LIGHTNING SEEDS. The latter is a touring member of REV, as well as THE HARMONY ROCKETS and his own group HOPEWELL.Max and J came together as Camphor specifically to record a couple of instrumental songs for the soundtrack to the fantastic film JESUS' SON. Since things worked out so well, they decide to make a go of it as a recording band. Look for their first release later this year.
