Artist History
Formed in 1997, in Boulder, CO, the band first started rehearsing in a warehouse space behind the Bus Stop strip club just outside of town, and later refined its sound at Ginger Baker's horse ranch south of Denver. The band last toured in 2000, with Malcom Bruce (son of Jack Bruce) stepping in on guitar and bass. So far, they have released a 14 song full length CD available on Pop Sweatshop, Olympia, WA., and are currently recording a new album to be released on MP3.com. |

Press Reviews
The band, anchored by drummer Kofi Baker, gives off a decidedly late-Sixties/ early Seventies proto metal vibe that recall's the glory days of Kofi's papa, Cream timekeeper Ginger Baker. The warbling of lead singer Jeffrey Leonetti sometimes suggests Bono and Michael Hutchence, but he seems most comfortable offering up Robert Plant screeches. Likewise, the heavy riffing that shows up on the album seems to have been transported to 2000 from an earlier time. Although this is supposed to be a three part rock opera, I couldn't make heads or tails of the plot-another link to the past. Anybody got some extra blotter acid?? - Westword, Denver, CO |
