Artist History
We've been doing techno/industrial music since 1995, when we were back in high school. Just about a year ago, we began to clean up our style and graduated from old drum machines and samplers to good computers with excellent processing software. We wanted to write some music for a club because we were told that we could do it. Tim wanted to DJ, and I wanted to create sounds. Somewhere on our small quest, we ended up spitting out a bizarre rave album that was more intent on industrial sounds and samples then most club dance music. We made a bunch of songs, but boilded it down to 5 and mixed them for our first demo. We took the best of the best and began to burn copies on my ghetto CD burner. We didn't come up with a name until sometime later. 'Mom's Poofy Thing'...what the hell is that? Well, the idea came about when I was sitting on the bus to NYC and thinking of funny things you find in the bathroom that would make a good band name. This one came about because I was reminded of all those strange devices and cleaning products mom used to keep in the bathroom and I had no idea what they were for. |

Press Reviews
word of mouth is, people who hate electronic music really dig our sound. Our music has a way of opening people's minds to something they didn't even know existed. |
