Artist History
Now living in Toronto, John Mark Sherlock studied composition at the University of Western Ontario with Jack Behrens, Arsenio Giron and David Myska. His works have been performed by some of Canada's finest performers including Arraymusic, The Burdocks, Critical Band, The Ergo Ensemble, The Glass Orchestra, Stephen Clarke, Eve Egoyan, Richard Moore, Rick Sacks and Linda Smith. The work, necklace, appears on Arraymusic's 25 Miniatures CD available on the Artifact Music label. It has been his pleasure to work with choreographers and dancers, Marie-Josée Chartier, Allen Kaeja and Heidi Strauss. He has participated in Arraymusic's Young Composers Workshop and won a prize in SOCAN's Awards for Young Composers. |
