Artist description
Fancy Prairie is not a folk album. It would be easy to categorize Eva Hunter as a folk singer/songwriter, however, since she has been performing throughout the Midwest with only her guitar to accompany her voice. Though acoustic guitar does appear prominently throughout the album, Hunter's new CD "Fancy Prairie" is not easy to categorize due to the array of musical sounds used from song to song. Understandably, the completion of the album is quite a relief for Eva. "Now everyone can hear what I've been hearing all along. It's exciting that the category people seem to put my music in may now change." |

Press Reviews
First time listeners are always surprised at the presence and intensity Eva displays on stage. Combining a unique style of writing that doesn't always follow popular song structure and a rollercoaster ride of dynamics has enabled Eva to mesmerize her audiences, whether they be at an all-ages coffee house or at a tough night club. |
